The most powerful language in the world isn’t spoken — it’s felt.

We’ve agreed on the rules for football, cricket and other sports across the world — yet we’ve never agreed on the rules for life.

There’s one language spoken and understood everywhere: the language of emotion.
People study for years to learn new languages. They travel the world and try to connect through words…

But why don’t we do the same with emotions?

Why don’t more people take time to understand their own emotional intelligence?
Why don’t couples learn to speak each other’s emotional language?
Why don’t organisations value emotional awareness as highly as technical skill?

It saddens me to hear people debate issues they can’t change — yet rarely talk about the emotions that fuel their arguments.

If we spent more time growing our emotional intelligence, we’d expand our ability to influence what’s happening around us.
And as our circle of influence grows, so does our capacity to make a real difference.

We grow from the inside out — not by shouting opinions about things we’re not truly part of.

So next time you find yourself in an argument, don’t aim to win.
Aim to learn — especially about yourself.
