Being flat doesn’t always mean you’re down

Lately I’ve felt a bit… off.

Not depressed.
Not lost.
Just strangely flat one day, energised the next.

For a while I thought I’d lost my mojo.

But I’ve come to realise something else was happening.

When you grow, or move on internally, your inner frequency changes first.
Your thinking shifts.
Your values realign.
Your motivation comes from a different place.

The rest of you takes time to catch up.

Old voices can resurface in that gap:
Who do you think you are?
Don’t show off.
You don’t deserve this.

They’re not truth.
They’re old protection.

It’s a bit like flying up through cloud — visibility gets worse before it suddenly clears.
Nothing is wrong with the plane. You’re just climbing.

If you’re feeling unsettled, slower, or less driven than you used to be, it doesn’t always mean you’re stuck.

Sometimes it means you’re recalibrating.

Be gentle with yourself in that space.
Growth isn’t always loud — often it’s quiet, foggy, and deeply real.
